Kyriakos
Loufakis

Born in Thessaloniki in 1960, Dr. Kyriakos Loufakis holds a PhD and an MSc from Renselaer Polytechnic Inst. in N. York and a BSc from Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki in Chemistry. He has won the Fulbright and the Alexander von Humbolt scholarships, the Green Dream Prize of the Entrepreneurship Club and the first Prize in the Greece Innovates competition.

Research assistant and guest speaker in several Universities and Institutes in USA, China, Europe and Greece. More than 15 publications in Scientific Journals and 9 presentations in conferences. Since 1988 he works in the Chemical Industry.

Μember of American Association of Textile Chemists and Colourists (AATCC), American Chemical Society (ACS), New York Academy of Science, Textile Institute and Greek Association of Chemists. He has been member of the Board of Directors in various organizations, such as University of Macedonia, KEPA-ANEM, SEVE, SBE and committees of educational institutes.

Enlisted in “Who is who in science and engineering” (1988) and “Who is who in the world” (1995). Dr. Loufakis has chaired the Greek Exporters’ Association – SEVE for the years 2014-2018 and is currently the President of Alexander Innovation Zone.

He has broad experience in implementation and management of projects, concerning product development and has worked extensively in the marketing, sales and contracting.

He speaks English, German, French.

He is married and father of three children.
