Thess INTEC – Thessaloniki Innovation & Technology Center honoured to participate in a working lunch focusing on Thessaloniki’s technology and innovation profile, held at the request and in the presence of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.We would like to thank REDESTOS – Efthymiadis Agrotechnology Group for hosting this initiative that generate a substantive dialogue among distinguished participants.

The discussion brought together representatives from government, local authorities, research, academia and industry. The discussion highlighted that the capacity of Thessaloniki’s innovation ecosystem to respond to current and future challenges depends on sustained collaboration, alignment and shared responsibility as essential conditions for a long-term impact in Greece and the broaden region.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between T-Hub & Thess INTEC

We are proud to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Thess INTEC – Thessaloniki Innovation & Technology Center and T-Hub, one of the world’s leading startup incubators and a key player in India’s innovation ecosystem.
This collaboration connects Greece’s first Innovation and Technology Center with India’s largest Technology Entrepreneurship Hub, enabling joint programs in acceleration, research, technology transfer, startup exchange, and international market reach.
Through this alliance, Thess INTEC and T-Hub will co-develop high-impact initiatives that support founders, strengthen deep-tech ecosystems, and foster seamless collaboration between academia and industry across two continents.
This partnership marks a significant step toward building a truly global innovation bridge — and we look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.

We were honored to welcome Charles Hoskinson, Co-Founder of Ethereum and Cardano, and Founder & CEO of Input Output Group, to Thess INTEC – Thessaloniki Innovation & Technology Center, together with IOHK President Tamara J.N. Haasen and a team of distinguished partners.
During the visit, Mr. Hoskinson shared a phrase that truly captures his vision: “We make the magic happen.”
At Thess INTEC, we share that same spirit — and we are excited to create some of that magic together, in cooperation with the local ecosystem.
Charles Hoskinson and our Chairman, Nikos Efthymiadis, agreed to explore all opportunities for collaboration and proceed with signing an MoU reflecting their shared consideration in establishing Thessaloniki and Thess INTEC as a technology Hub for IOHK’s multiple global activities.

Representatives from academia, industry, government, and business sector explored the unique characteristics of Thess INTEC and the innovation ecosystem of Thessaloniki, with discussions centered on developing thriving Science and Technology Park services and joint ventures for industry-based innovation. Participants contributed to Thess INTEC’s vision to become a leading international technology and innovation hub

This event facilitated Thess INTEC’s mission to accelerate change and bridge the gap between applied research and industry, aiming to enhance the international competitiveness of Greek industry.
